Department’s statement
For over eighty years, veterinary medicine was one of the founding departments of the veterinary school of Chulalongkorn university in 1935. As a key department for clinical teaching, our mission is to produce internationally-competitive veterinarians and advance the health and well-being of animals and people through innovative education, cutting-edge research, and knowledge dissemination.
The discipline of veterinary medicine encompasses the art and science of diagnosis, treatment, palliative care, plus
disease control and prevention. Our current work includes companion animal medicine, aquatic animal medicine, swine
medicine, ruminant medicine, and disease prevention in poultry.
