"Veterinary Pathogen Bank (VPB)" was established in May 2018, funded by Chulalongkorn University under Chulalongkorn Academic Advancement into Its 2nd Century Project aiming for collecting and preserving important pathogens in animals and zoonotic pathogens with standardized and secured storage system.  VPB aims to serve as pathogen resource which is beneficial for the study of students, veterinarians and researchers and also for preparedness for emerging diseases in animals in the future.  

          Veterinary Pathogen Bank operates under Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University providing long-term storage services for important viruses and bacteria in animals, including cell culture with the security system and temperature monitoring system.  Our services provide both deep-freeze storage and liquid nitrogen storage for veterinarians and researchers of the faculty and external agencies.
