Chulalongkorn University Welcomes WOAH Director General to Advance Global Collaboration in Animal Health and One Health

The Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University, had the honor of welcoming Dr. Emmanuelle Soubeyran, Director General of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH), and her delegation on 12 June 2026 for a special visit and lecture at the Faculty of Veterinary Science.

The visit marked an important opportunity to strengthen ties and explore future collaborations between the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University, and the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) in advancing animal health, veterinary public health, and the global One Health agenda.

During her visit, Dr. Soubeyran delivered a special lecture highlighting the future of global animal health, the importance of preventive investment in animal health systems, preparedness for emerging health threats, food security, and the critical role of international cooperation in addressing complex challenges affecting animals, humans, and the environment.

The event provided veterinary students, faculty members, researchers, and participants with a unique opportunity to gain first-hand insights from one of the world's leading voices in veterinary medicine. An interactive discussion and Q&A session further encouraged meaningful exchanges on the future of veterinary education, research, and global animal health governance.
